Festive Mood: Lagos Lifts Order On Restriction Of Movement

The Lagos State Government has lifted the order on restriction of movement during the forthcoming Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise on Saturday, 26th March, 2016 to allow for free movement of people and vehicles during the Easter celebration.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Office of the Commissioner for the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare, noted that despite the lifting of the restriction order, Lagosians are still expected to observe the monthly exercise by cleaning their homes and immediate environment.

AMBODE CONNECTS 67 COMMUNITIES TO NATIONAL GRID

…Reaffirms Commitment To Welfare Of Lagosians.

After over five years of being in total darkness, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday commissioned an electrification project connecting 67 communities in Ibeju-Lekki area of the state to the national grid.

Governor Ambode, who commissioned the project amidst fanfare form joyous residents, also announced the readiness of the state government to pay the electricity bill of residents until the installation of meters in all homes in the affected communities.
The Governor said the project was another success story of the Light Up Lagos Project, an initiative of his administration.

Ayodele Dada Honoured With A Standing Ovation By The House Of Representatives

A University of Lagos first class graduate, who also doubles as the only student to have graduate with a 5.0 GPA, Ayodele Dada was honoured yesterday, the 23rd of March, 2016 by the House of Representatives.

The honour was bestowed on him following a motion by the Majority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila. Hon Femi in moving his motion said, "I believe as leaders and as a country it's time we start celebrating our successes particularly in a period of great national despondency that us enveloped us for years now. As a House, I believe we should recognise, celebrate and commend Mr. Ayodele so as to enocourage him and give hope and inspiration to many others.

The beautiful city of London is set to be the next target of blood-thirsty terror group, ISIS. Following, a web poll conducted by the terror group, over 50% of voters from the poll chose Great Britain to be its next target.

However, Theresa May in her address at the House of Commons stated categorically that an amount of terrorist operations have been thwarted.
